Checklist Before Death

When you are about to die, what are you afraid of ? I havent thought of that seriously. So, lets make a checklist:

1. Not able to spend the money I got
2. I dunno how is it after death. Fyi, I am half way thru the bible, but still feel uncertain. God seems like is with the jews, not chinese. That's why I am still inclined to Buddha.
3. I havent travel enough
4. I havent accomplish anything yet, yet I am not very sure what is to be accomplish. For the time being, Living happily at that very moment is considered accomplishment
5. I havent make sure every child gets education and food (Maybe I can get on the TV and scream it out?)
6. What others will say after I die? It's funny, who cares actually, I don't have much opinion bout people around me who passed away
7. My mom and dad may feel sad, being the only child sucks. There's no siblings to console them

The list may goes on, but perhaps the only way to go in peace is to passed down a values to the world....maybe.

Being Remembered

A friend's dad just pass away. A man who have contributes a lot to the Chinese Education circle. I still remembered he bought a cupboard for our class.

Its pretty weird things are only remembered upon departure. But this little memory we have of him reminds me of the need of education support towards the coming generations, which been ignored for quite a long time.

Is he all gone? Nope, the spirit still passed on.

Hi Body! Long Time No See

Fisrt of all, TIME. I got all the time I want, its up for me to decide how to spend it.
I have TREES, and I can enjoy looking at them, touching them, smelling them, and they would not run away from me.
I have SKY, its like watching a movie, there's a bright part(sunny), there's a sad part(raining), there's thriller(thunder), and there's romance(raining).
I have a pair of LEGS, I can walk to whatever place I like, besides those that officially declared by some moron as private property.
I have a BIG GARDEN, called bukit jalil international garden. it's open to the public, even I don't own it, I still can walk around and sleep there as I like to.

In buddhism, there's a path of training of developing compassion for others, I never quite understand on that one until yesterday....

A young girl dressed like all other teenagers sauntered alone in the mall with crippling steps, few heads turned, but the sunshine look on her face graced up everyone who stares.

A mixture of feeling aroused in me, bit of compassion, overshine by admiration of her spirit.

Perhaps compassion for others actually brings out the beauty within us, the feeling of heart warming love for others ...

Defination of Success

Let's explore how to define being successful in general, if you are

1. a caveman : able to lift the largest rock, find your own cave, escape the dinasour and Happy. If you know how to make fire, you are the genius.
2. a person in around 1000 BC : found a piece of land to farm, build you own house and Happy. If you got more than 10 people working for you, perhaps you are consider Bill Gates.
3. a social entity in the 20th century: Got your own assets such as house, cars, have a loving family, preferbly financially free, healthy, Happy.

... more or less the same with being a caveman, except technically you can't simply possess anything around you anymore.

Options in Life

I have been pondering over a question in my mind this few days.
" Why am I not giving away half of what I have to save the people in Africa?"
" Why I could donate all the money after they die, but not when I am alive?"

Is it because of my selfishness is greater than my compassion? or this is simply the reliaty ... no one will do it.

Whatever it is, I cant get a firm answer. But I am close to a conclusion :

"I still got so many options in life now, this Options + the insecurity feeling blinded my purpose in Life."

Will You Share?

I asked myself a question, thereafter to a few friends.

You and a little kid were lost in a desert/amazon. On day 7, the kid finish his food and water supply, but you still left with the supply which is sufficient to last 4 more days for a person, would you share it?

"YES!!!" we answered.

Then, here comes the second question, " then why aren't you giving away half of your money to those kid in africa ?"

Suicide of Jibai

I killed my character in an online mud game after two months training it, making it stronger.

I realized that I am too attached to the character in the virtual, and it drains up my time and energy. Everytime I played, a little sense of guilt aroused in me. The sad part is ultimately, nothing is being improved in real life, and there's no value added is whatsoever of way.

Of course, this is an lousy ending. If my will power is strong enough, I should have just stop the game ... but what the heck....so long jibai !!! (that's my character name)

Emotion against Mechanism

Just came back from a Casino resort. Watching others gamble is interesting.

They play with full emotion on the table against the dealers, who deal with a mechanism according to rules and guideline.

The gamblers is placing their emotions on the table against a mechanism to see what's the return ... and the battle goes all night long ... but I do enjoy myself with the free drinks provided and some singing.

Baby's Eyes

Today, I pay a visit to my friend's 6 months old nephew. He is trapped in a wheel cart where he can run around and bumped the wheel cart into things he feel interesting, but his hand is too short to reach out for it.

There's something cool I noticed on his face, his eyes seldom blinks. Perhaps nothing much goes on in his mind ... No opinion, no wandering into future, no recap of past happenings, and certainly no self auditory. No wonder adults blink their eyes so much.

Or on the other hand, there's something wrong with this kid....haha.... hopefully not. But it seems like he like his finger a lot, he keeps putting it into his mouth ... yummy... finger licking good

The Silent 'NO'

The society is getting too skeptical with strangers. When a stranger walks over to sell, promote, or beg, it had becomes a social habit to ignore them.

Not a chance given by listening. And worse, not a single word utter but just pure ignorance by shaking their head. What's wrong with the society, why can't you just politely say a NO THANKS, and show some respect and compassion for others. Have you forgot, that just like us, these people strive for a living?

Or perhaps, there's a sense of guilt to reject others without reasons, that's why they can't say it by looking in the other person eyes.

Grandma, I love U

Its not easy to express this to people from her generation ... I wonder if my grandpa ever told her that too.

But I love her dearly, the reason, because she loves me dearly. For what I can do now, is to visit her as frequent, have some short conversation ... although most of the time, I end up playing with my niece and nephews.

I dunno what makes her happy, maybe seeing me happy she will be happy. and I vowed to live my life to the fullest.

If we can help them overcome this, this would be one of the gloriest moment in our life,

Her name is Endon. passed away this morning after a tough fight against breast cancer.

a beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend to poeple around her. But what makes her significant, is that she is the woman behind our prime minister.

the TV shows interview of people mourning over her departure: from the parliment to normal citizen, to little children.

If everyone would see this character of beloved wife, mother, sister, daugther, friend in all the others not such signficant women ... the world will be a much much better place.
