Someone Besides God ?

If you got a bible, flip to Genesis 1:26

then God said," Let us make human beings in our image,to be like ourselves...."

Who the heck is beside him? who is he talking to? Can't be the animals, coz they don't look like him.

Follow by Genesis 1:27

So, God create human being in his own image, In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

Is God belongs to a colony? Else how he created both male and female with difference in sexual identity

And of course, there's all that 'we' stuff and 'let us go down' in the Tower of Babel sequence. An excuse for the royal 'we' - but remember that Genesis is based on Sumerian tales - see the contentiou Zachariah Sitchin's work for instance.

I realized Moses is the author of from Genesis to Deutenoromy.

I now suspect Moses is not the author, someone make it up.

The reason:
1. Moses is the author until the Deuteronomy, which end with his death. So he wrote about his death ... huh?
2. Moses initially is a non believer. I dont think God is free enough to tell him right from the beginning...unless he give him a memory of the time before he was born. If that the case, why not give him the memory of the future as well.
3. If Moses wrote it, He would not wrote in a third person perspective. Unless he is possessed ...

Hi
Well whoever wrote the book--Moses or not, knew that in the Hebrew language there was no adequate word to describe this God. In fact, the Hebrew word used there is singular but takes a plural noun.

It's not hard to explain if one keeps reading the Bible and notices elsewhere, like Colossians 1:15-17 it says

"He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
Col 1:16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him.
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

Elsewhere, the Bible alludes to "the trinity" --meaning co-existance of Father, Son, Holy Ghost--all God yet unique 'members' of this union.

This in mind, then it's not hard to figure out from Genesis 1:2--where it says that "the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters" that each member of the trinity was present in creation, and you're noticing it in verse 26-27. God's talking to either the Holy Spirit or Christ or both.

The reflection that God "created man" is just a simple understanding of the fact that in the Hebrew, the word for "mankind" is being used, and translated accordingly. Man and woman are both "mankind", are they not? And both are an accurate relfection/image of God--together, not one without the other.
Hope that helps some.

Interesting blog entries!
